This place is so beautiful, it’s hard to describe it in words. Family business and first steps in Digging
My wife Maria and I run a family business that for years has specialized in the construction of frame and wooden, year-round houses. Many of them were built right here in Kopan. However, our history with this place began a little earlier – during one of our first constructions in this coastal village, eight years ago.
I remember it like today – we were driving to assemble houses, and the road suddenly ended. It was night, and we had to stop and wait until morning. When I woke up, I saw a sight that sank into my heart forever. A meadow full of deer, wild boar and hares, and in the background the sunrise over the lake, the sound of the waves of the Baltic Sea and that smell of fresh, clean air…. Looking at all this, I said to myself, “This is where I will put my house.” Although I then quickly returned to work, the dream of this piece of paradise on earth never left me.
Dreams, hard work and sacrifices
For years, I devoted my life to work – often at the expense of time for my family and my own passions. Our son joined our company and has been working side by side with me ever since. These were years full of sacrifices, hard work, but finally the moment came when we could realize our dream. We were able to buy the piece of land that I remembered so deeply. And that’s how Golden Palm – our resort – came into being.
Family-oriented team and support of friendly people
However, we did not do it alone. Along the way we met many kind people who helped us create this place. And the construction? It is also the effort of our whole family. Daughters Marika and Klaudia, as well as Ostap – each of them joined our team and put a piece of their hearts into this place. Although it wasn’t always easy, together we faced challenges and together we created something we are really proud of.
